At last Andraste and Dr Jazz visited Warbander and Fortean Times man Jonathan Downes at his Bideford home which has a collection of rare and strange animals, - there is another zoo near Exmoor - and he knows King Arthur well, and has a great deal of experience in protest and conservation, organising explorations to find mysterious creatures, as per this site:
He holds Weird Weekendgs with speakers, strange creatures on show and brilliant parties - see the links of previous ones. We want to go to the one in August 2008 - are you coming?

November 8th midday ; MEDICINAL GARDEN, PLYMOUTH :
We have decided that 25th is not good as cant get the keys, people on
holiday, so 8th November looks best. Midday, and we can get into the
lodge to get to the loos, and kitchen.
If you want to look over the low wall and pop into the garden as there
is no gate! it is at the end of Thorn Park Rd, off Mannamead Rd, on
left as you leave Mutley Plain and head up the hill towards Tavistock.
there is a care home called Camelot on left, and its that left
turning, park at the end of the road and the Lodge is at the entrance
to Mutley Park in front of you.
The Lodge number is 01752 263501 and Rachel is usually there Mondays
and Weds.
